Today is the day we begin our hatch process here in Room 4. Everyone is pretty excited - we have the MOST eggs we've ever had in the incubator. The past two years we have only had 12 eggs...this year, we've got 24 eggs!!! We are hoping that means a lot more baby chicks.

| Our eggs have arrived! We have 8 blue/green eggs, 3 dark brown eggs, and 13 lighter brown eggs. I wonder which eggs will hatch brown chicks? Which ones will hatch yellow chicks? Will we have another black chick this year? |

| The eggs are ready to go - we are using two thermometers this year...just to be sure that our temperature is correct! |

We are super excited about going through this process with you. As always, we love as much feedback as possible. We will update the blog every day. You will get to see which projects we are doing, what we are learning about, what we are excited about and most important....once the chicks hatch you will get to see us playing with them and taking care of them.
